ATONEMENT FOR SIN

(Ro 5:8) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

We believe Jesus Christ, moved by love and compassion for fallen man, voluntarily offered His body to be sacrificed, and His blood shed for payment of man’s sin debt.

“And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” (Ro 5:11)

He is the only one qualified to make the necessary atonement for sins and there is no other means available to mankind

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Ac 4:12)

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (Joh 1:29)

The death, shed blood, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the complete, sufficient, and final atonement for all the sins of mankind and will justify all who put their faith in Him

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Ro 5:9)

“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”(Heb 10:10-14)

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Heb 7:25)
